“Many police officers have been tested positive for COVID-19 and the officers who came in contact with them were quarantined. Hence, the home quarantine period of police is considered as duty hours,” he said.
“Every day, many numbers of police officers come in contact with public and the chances of getting infected to COVID-19 is more. As many of the officers are already in quarantine, we have to consider their quarantine as duty hours,” he added.
“This would apply to the ones who came in touch with primary and secondary contacts of COVID-19 patients and the officers who had been to other states for training,” he said.
