Hundreds pay condolences to Ramananda Shetty and Ashwini R. Shetty in Udupi

Udupi: Hundreds paid condolences to the departed souls of Ramananda Shetty and Ashwini R. Shetty at an event held at Amrit Garden Hall in Ambagilu here on July 29.

Harish Shetty, president of the World Bantara Sangha Bandara Federation, said that Ramananda Shetty served society through his work. Jayakar Shetty Indrali, president of Badagabettu Credit Co-operative Society, mentioned that the service done between birth and death remains a person’s glory.

Kannada Lecturer Sujatha Sivananda said Ashwini taught how to live with a companion. Govindaraj Hegde, General Secretary of the Wine Merchants’ Association, said that Ramananda Shetty wanted to give back to society.  Raghuram Master, a retired teacher od Adi Udupi Higher Primary School, mentioned that both Ramanand and Ashwini were his students and had great devotion to their Guru.

Shyamala Kunder, former member of the National Commission for Women, praised Ashwini as a good organizer. Pawan Kumar Kere, a Yakshagana preacher, said such people are rare, as they led a unique life and were together even in death.

Many dignitaries, including MLA Yashpal Suvarna, former minister Pramod Madhwaraj, former MLA K. Raghupathi Bhatt, and prominent figures like Suresh Pujari, Satish Kotyan, and Vishwanath B. Pandubettu, were present.
