IIM Bengaluru to conduct start up plan competition

Bengaluru: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM-B) here will be conducting a competition for aspiring entrepreneurs.

The competition titled ‘Bzzwings’ will be held in July and August.

Participants or teams will have to register with their business ideas from July 12 for Round 1, which will be the eliminator round.

The top ten participants or teams would get to present their entrepreneurial ideas to a panel from the NSRCEL – the startup incubator at IIM-B.

The ten participants or teams will undergo mentoring sessions for 20 days to refine their business plans.

The final winners will be declared during Eximius, the IIM-B’s annual e-summit to be held on August 21 and 22.

The final winner/s will receive a cash prize of Rs 5 lakhs and other finalists would get funding and incubation opportunities at the NSRCEL along with access to NSRCEL’s launchpad programme which is a pre-incubation programme for early-stage ventures.

Additionally, IIM-B will also host ‘Pitch Perfect’ which will be similar in format to the television series ‘Shark Tank.’

Early-stage social start-ups will get to pitch their ideas to top-notch investors and raise funding.
