Indian solider from Belagavi dies of heart attack

Belagavi: A soldier from Belagavi, who was serving in the Indian Army, died of a heart attack at a military hospital in Maharashtra’s Aurangabad on Tuesday, September 13.

The deceased has been identified as Shanakara Balappa Yaligara (33) of Melmatti village.

Police said the mortal remains of the soldier would be brought to his native village on Wednesday, September 14. The casket will be taken in a procession through the streets of the village before holding the last rites, they added.
