Priyank Kharge in a tweet said that according to GST bill of 2017, central government must pay loss incurred due to the GST tax collection till 2020 to the state government

He further stated that the state was getting a higher tax share when VAT was in effect. But, Modi government has unscientifically changed the GST act set by the UPA government. Congress was repeatedly warning the BJP government that it will harm the economy, but BJP government ignored it

The BJP government’s dictatorial attitude has led to this menace. Keeping people’s interest in mind, BSY must reject the suggestion of the central government. The Union Finance Minister has accepted the loan, but the interest will have to be borne by the people of the state, he added

He questioned whether this is a punishment for Kannadigas for electing 25 MPs from Karnataka
