Is Twitter working on a paid subscription?

Reportedly, Twitter is soon going to launch its own premium subscription-based service, called Twitter Blue.

A thread of tweets by Jane Manchun Wong highlights the extra features Twitter Blue users will get to see.

Twitter Blue is set to price at $2.99 (about Rs 219) per month.

Wong suggests this could be the base plan with more expensive plans available for those who want even more features, mainly including the ability to undo tweets. Despite the popular demand from Twitter users, the ability to edit tweets that have been published is a no-show.

Although it remains to be seen if these features will be enough to convince Twitter users to ump onboard the subscription train. Many questions about Twitter Blue remain to be answered, including if Blue users will have more data privacy and will their content be more preferred in the Twitter algorithm.
