“I never expected this to happen. I accept the state BJP presidents post not as a position, but as a major responsibility, he said during his first visit to the BJP office here after becoming the state chief of the party.

Nalin said he had had an RSS background which taught him to work hard without expecting any returns.

He said he would take up the new responsibility by taking everyone into confidence.

“I will seek guidance and support from both seniors and juniors in the party,” he said.

The party assigns each worker with certain responsibilities.

“I have been given the major task of organising the party in the state which I will do with utmost sincerity, he said.

He said the BJP government in the state has assumed office in difficult times when the state was badly affected by flood before it could overcome the problem of drought.

He urged all party legislators, leaders and workers work towards tackling the situation to help the people of the state.

Soon after arrival in his home town, Nalin went to his residence and sought the blessings of his mother.

He later visited Sanghaniketan and then reached the party office.

BJP leaders Ravishanker Mijar, Monappa Bhandary and Jagadish Adhikari were among those present.
