Janardhan Reddy granted permission to visit Bellary: Supreme Court

Supreme Court on Thursday, August 19, allowed former Karnataka minister and mining baron Gali Janardhana Reddy to stay in Bellary Karnataka, for eight weeks.

Janardhan Reddy had appealed to the Supreme Court to allow him to stay in Bellary and his application for bail after being rejected twice has now been granted.

The Supreme Court’s two-judge bench, headed by Justice Vineet Saran, heard the petition filed by Reddy, accused in multi-million illegal mining cases, and granted him permission to visit and stay in the District of Bellary, Karnataka, his hometown for eight weeks.
