IAS officer Awanish Sharan shared a photograph of an innovative solution on his Twitter account that reduces the weight carried by the bulls. The post has since gone viral on social media.
According to a report in The Indian Express, the idea was conceptualised by a group of students from the Rajarambapu Institute of Technology (RIT) in Maharashtra’s Sangli district. They created a portable tyre that can be attached to bullock carts of various kinds, that provides a “rolling support” to the bulls.

The innovative solution, shared by the IAS officer, caught the eye of the netizens. Many praised the innovative indigenous technology. One Twitter user wrote: “Pure example of make in India/ jugad.”
Some even gave suggestions on modifying the design and improving the gadget. One user said “bullock carts with four wheels will spare all the pain and suffering of the animals” while another wanted “provision to fold it as well,” to reduce the effort “in case of wheel falling in ditch.”
At the time of publishing, Sharan’s tweet has gotten 37,000 likes and more than 3,500 retweets.
