Kalaburagi: 6 from Aland dead in tragic road accident at Maharashtra's Akkalkot

Kalaburagi: At least six people were killed and 6 others injured in a collision between a cruiser and a cement tanker on the outskirts of Shirwalwadi in Akkalkot taluk of Solapur district in Maharashtra on Friday evening.

All the deceased are said to be residents of Anoor village in Aland taluk of Kalaburagi.

The passengers on the cruiser vehicle were reportedly returning from a pilgrimage to Ghattargi in Afzalpur taluk. It is learnt that members of two families were in the cruiser vehicle.

Police said that the deceased included five women and a child. The identities of the deceased and the injured are being ascertained.

Aland police visited the spot and are investigating. Alanda CP Mahadev Panchamukhi and DySP said that the injured to the hospital.
