In Dakshina Kannada, the district administration orchestrated a grand Kannada Rajyotsava celebration at Nehru Maidan. The event was inaugurated with the hoisting of the flag by District In-charge Minister, Dinesh Gundurao, who was joined by prominent dignitaries. Mayor Sudhir Shetty, Assembly Speaker U. T. Khader, MP Nalin Kumar, MLA Vedavyasa Kamath, District Collector Mullai Mugilan, Commissioner of Police Anupam Aggarwal, Superintendent of Police Rishyant, and others graced the occasion, underscoring the cultural significance and unity associated with Kannada Rajyotsava.
This annual celebration pays homage to the rich linguistic heritage and cultural diversity of Karnataka, emphasizing the importance of the Kannada language and its profound cultural legacy. The event was infused with enthusiasm and reverence, celebrating the state’s cultural and historical roots.
On the other hand, in Udupi, District in-charge minister, Lakshmi Hebbalkar hoisted the flag during the Rajyotsava program and addressed the audience at the Ajjarakadu District Stadium during the Karnataka Rajyotsava celebrations. Hebbalkar spoke about various initiatives aimed at the comprehensive development of the district. He also honored the district-level awardees for their contributions.

The festivities in Udupi included a parade featuring 16 teams, including the Police Force, NCC, Coast Guard, and captivating cultural performances presented by school students. MLA Yash Pal Suvarna presided over the event, joined by dignitaries including Kannada Sahitya Parishad President Nilavara Surendra Adiga, District Collector Dr. Vidyakumari, S.P. Dr. Arun K., GPAM CEO Prasanna H., and Additional District Collector Mamata GS.
