Karnataka government decides to reopen schools for classes 6 to 8 from September 6

Bengaluru: Karnataka government on Monday, August 30 decided to reopen schools for classes 6 to 8 from September 6.

The decision was taken after the Technical Expert Committee meeting chaired by Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.

Speaking to the reporters, Minister R Ashoka said, ” After the discussion with the expert panel, the government has decided to reopen schools in areas with less than 2 percent of positive rates.”

Also, Classes will be held in batches where 50% of students will be allowed on one day while the remaining 50% will be allowed on the second day. Schools will remain closed on Saturday and Sunday as the authorities will undertake the sanitization process on these two days.
