Most of the students, faculty and non-teaching staff of such colleges have already received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Hence the government decided to grant permission to conduct the classes in these colleges.
Sources informed that these educational institutions in the State will start conducting physical classes from Monday.
The Rajiv Gandhi Health Sciences University is likely to issue an official notification to the colleges in this regard soon.

Taking to Twitter K Sudhakar wrote, “It has been decided to allow the reopening of all Medical, Dental, AYUSH and other allied healthcare educational institutions in the state with immediate effect. Students, faculty members and non-teaching staff should have vaccinated to attend the college.”
With this announcement, it has also been mandated by the government that all COVID-19 safety protocols are followed.
This decision of reopening medical colleges in the state has been taken after discussions with the state executive committee. However, this reopening is also conditional.
The condition is that all students, teaching, non-teaching and other staff must have taken at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
In the failure of doing so, that person will not be allowed to attend the institute.
