Last year, the state government was rushed forward to complete the steel flyover in a time span of two years from Chalukya circle to Hebbal in the state capital at a cost of Rs 1791 crores amid protests by the people and legal battle. Later, the government decided to raise the total length of the bridge from 6.7 to 7.7 kilometers raising to total cost of the project from Rs 1791 crores to Rs 2100 crores.
