Karnataka Govt’s Vision 2025 Team to Hold District Level Consultation Programmes

Bengaluru: Karnataka state government’s ambitious project, Vision 2025 has received a widespread support across Karnataka, said Vision 2025 project CEO, senior IAS officer Renuka Chidambaram on Thursday speaking in a press conference held in Bengaluru.

Renuka Chidambaram held consultations with officials across all the departments and deputy commissioners and addressing a press conference after the meeting, she said, Karnataka government has decided to invite writers, litterateurs, social workers and others for the district level consultation programme.

She added that the Nava Karnataka 2025 team has decided to extend invitation to Sudha Murthy, Chandrashekar Patil (Champa), Patil Puttappa and others. “We have also invited MLAs, MPs and other representatives of the people for the district-level consultation programme. Even NGOs and school children are invited. Besides this, the Vision 2025 group is also conducting essay and quiz competitions for kids where in the topic would be on vision 2025 for Karnataka. The winners will be given prizes.  The people can also reach out to the vision 2025 group to express their support through social media including facebook, twitter or whatsApp.”

As a part of the vertical approach, the state government intends to incorporate views and feedback from people in all corners of the state, including the 30 districts. The district level meetings will begin from October 3 in Hassan, Mysuru and Mangalore followed by October 4 (Chikkamagaluru and Udupi), October 6 (Chitradurga), October 7 (Davanagere), October 9 (Bidar), October 10 (Kalaburgi, Vijayapura), October 11 (Yadgir), October 12 (Raichur and Ballari), October 13 (Bagalkot), October 16 (Belagavi and  Ramanagar), October 17 (Dharwad and Bengaluru rural), October 19 (Karwar and Mandya), October 21 (Bengaluru rural), October 23 (Shivamogga), October 24 (Chikkaballapur), October 25 (Tumakuru), October 26 (Kolar and Haveri), October 27 (Gadag), October 28 (Koppal), October 30 (Chamarajanagar) and October 31 (Kodagu).

The Vision Document Project will run for a period of five months and the vision document will be completed by December 31, 2017.
