Karnataka High Court rejects writ plea seeking flower deluge through chopper on new house

Bengaluru: Karnataka High court on Monday has dismissed a writ petition seeking flower deluge on newly constructed house during its warming ceremony (Gruha Pravesha) through a helicopter on February 10.  A writ petition filed by Muniraju on flower deluge on his new house in Bengaluru city outskirts was rejected as it the planned program is not a fundamental right.

Meanwhile, the petitioner argued that his neighbour was conducted the same program during his house warming ceremony. However, the judge rejected the argument stating, permission can’t be granted on the basis of what his neighbour did. The high court also asked the petitioner that, whether is there any law or rules to justify his petition.

The high court also asked the petitioner to utilise the money for social service which planned to spent for the flower deluge. Reacting to the advice, the lawyer representing the petitioner said, the proposed event helps the flower vendors, workers who involve in the process, indirectly.
