Kaup: 4 inter-district vehicle thieves arrested

Kaup: Four inter-district vehicle thieves were arrested by a police team led by the Kaup Circle Inspector on Tuesday from Shivamogga and Maravanthe.

The gang of four had allegedly stolen a tipper truck from a tar factory at Muddarangady Santuru Alumbe near here.

The four have been identified as Ashraf (27), a resident of Palimaru village; Munna alias Majir Sheikh (38), a resident of Padubidri; Manjunatha alias Manju (31) from Shivamogga district, Arun (26) from Tirthahalli

Rs 12.47 lakh cash, Maruti Swift car, mobile phones and the stolen truck were confiscated from them.
