His remarks came a day after Modi called H.D. Kumaraswamy a “remote-controlled Chief Minister” during a public rally held in Kalaburagi.
Speaking to reporters Kharge said that Modi’s remarks were aimed at destabilising the state government by instigating the alliance partners against each other. “Ours is a coalition government that is functioning as per mutual discussion and understating,” he added.
Responding to a question on why Prime Minister Narendra Modi didn’t make any reference to him during his speech, Kharge said: “I feel he did not take my name because there is nothing to say against me and he obviously cannot appreciate the projects I have implemented in my constituency.”
