Jnanendra condemned the killing and said that it was regrettable that an innocent youth was killed for ideological differences. “Whatever be the ideological difference, killing and shedding blood is not right,” he said.
Further, he appealed for maintaining peace and public order. “I appeal for maintaining peace and order. police are already investigating the case,” he said and added that the culprits will be brought to justice.
Jnanendra said he has spoken to the Chief Minister about the incident and has issued necessary instructions to the police. A senior ADGP rank official will be going to Mangaluru and will monitor the probe and take necessary actions, PTI reported him as saying.
