In a press conference held at the KMF headquarters, KMF President Bheemanayak shared details about the price hike. He stated that an additional 50 ml of milk would be added to each one- litre packet of Nandini milk. The current price of one litre of milk, which is 42 rupees, will be increased by 2 rupees. Similarly, the price of a half- litre packet will also see a 2-rupee hike, increasing from the current 22 rupees per half- litre. The revised prices will take effect from tomorrow, as informed by Bheemanayak.
Bheemanayak justified the price increase by comparing it to the rates in other states, stating that the prices in Karnataka are still relatively low.
The revised prices apply only to milk. KMF President Bheemanayak assured that there would be no increase in the prices of other Nandini products such as curd and lassi. KMF Managing Director M.K. Jagadish and other board members were also present at the press conference.
