Christchurch: Team India skipper and captain Virat Kohli expressed his ire against a journalist after the defeat in the Test series against New Zealand. The incident took place at the press conference after the second Test match.
During the match, Kohli had reacted in a dramatic manner to Kane Williamson’s dismissal. He had also reacted to the New Zealand crowd by biting his finger in the same innings.
The journalist in the conference referred to these actions of Kohli while questioning him whether it was appropriate of him, the Indian captain to be behaving like this.
Kohli irately answered, “You need to find out exactly what happened and come up with better questions. You can’t come here with half questions or half details of what happened. And also, if you want to create controversy, this is not the right place. I also talked to the match referee. He had no issues with what happened. Thank You.”
Team India had lost the second test and the series to New Zealand by seven wickets. It was India’s first clean sweep in eight years.
