Speaking to the reporters in the city, he added that he has also made recommendations to the party high command and to party president Sonia Gandhi on how Congress can be rejuvenated in the state.

He further added that many people from south Karnataka are contenders for the post of the leader of the opposition, hence, KPCC president then can be chosen from north Karnataka. Siddaramaiah, after taking into consideration many political equations, had recommended my name for the post.

He also claimed that if made the president of KPCC he is very well capable of handling the post and except Siddaramaiah no one else is apt for the post of the leader of the opposition.
