Steep rise in monsoon showers in August contributed for an uptick in the level of water and the same trend is expected to continue in September also, according to the weather forecasts.

Meanwhile, water level in River Krishna has moved up following good rainfall activities in Maharashtra. Around 45, 000 cusec water has been released from Basava Sagara Dam through 6 gates in this rainy season.
