It will also hold the meet every month instead of every three months. The first meeting is scheduled for November 5 here.

In the next two years, the State has a packed schedule of elections including gram panchayat elections, Lok Sabha by-elections, taluk panchayat elections, Zilla panchayat elections and also the 2023 general elections for the State’s legislative assembly.

In view of this, the BJP has adapted this new strategy of the party organisation of holding State-level executive meeting in the districts.

It was reported by the party that organisational activities at the grassroots level will likely be accelerated as senior leaders and heads of various wings will be present in these meetings.

Mangaluru is hosting BJP’s State committee meet for the first time in two decades. In 2017, the party’s core committee was held here to discuss the party’s strategy in the State Assembly and the Lok Sabha elections.

The November 5 State executive meet presided by State BJP president Nalin Kumar Kateel will include core committee members Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa, National Convener BL Santosh, Union Minister Prahlad Joshi, DV Sadananda Gowda, State in-charge CT Ravi, State Committee office-bearers, chiefs of various morchas, General Secretaries, divisional prabharis, deputy prabharis and 150 others will be in attendance, party sources said.

Kateel stated: “the party’s state executive committee meeting is scheduled to be held in each district of the State each month. Accordingly, the first meeting will be held in Mangaluru on November 5. The party’s new initiative will complement the strength of the party’s organisation during each visit to a district.
