K’taka: Black Fungus cases rise to 1250, 18 deaths, 39 recover

Bengaluru: The number of Black Fungus infections in the State has increased to 1,250 with 18 deaths and 39 recoveries.

The State is presently facing a shortage of drugs to treat the fungal infection.

More than 70,000 vials of Amphotericin B are needed. The Central government has sent only 8,000 vials.

The districts with the highest number of Black Fungus cases are Bengaluru Urban (521), Dharwad (119), Kalaburgi (102), Bagalkote (68), Vijayapura (57), Kolar (42), Raichur (36), Belagavi, Mysuru (35), Shivamogga (38) and Chitradurga (33).
