K'taka COVID-19 update: 5773 new cases; 8015 discharges; 141 deaths on Sep 6

Bengaluru: On September 6, 5,773 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded from across the State along with 8,015 discharges of recovered people and 141 deaths due to the virus.

The tally in the State crossed 4 lakh on the same day. The total cases in the State now stand at 4,04,324 with 6,534 total COVID-19 deaths.

97,001 cases are active in the State, out of which 794 cases are in Intensive Care Units.

Districts that recorded high incidences of COVID-19 cases include Bengaluru Urban 2,942, Ballari 266, Mysuru 221, Mandya 169, Davanagere 199, Shivamogga 150, Dakshina Kannada 152, Kalaburagi 141, Koppala 139, Yadagiri 137, Hassana 128, Bagalakote 126, Udupi 113, Vijayapura 112 and Chikkamagaluru 101.
