Bengaluru: 8,580 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the State on August 25, according to the bulletin released by the Department of Health and Family Welfare Services.
7,249 infected people recovered and 133 infected people died during the same period.
The total number of COVID-19 infections in the State has now crossed 3 lakhs; 3,00,406 is the present count. Meanwhile, the number of recovered cases has reached 2 lakhs.
There are 83,608 active COVID-19 cases in the State out of which 760 are in Intensive Care Units.
The death toll from the virus has reached 5,091. The district-wise incidences of COVID-19 are Mysuru 951, Bellary 510, Dakshina Kannada 314, Belgaum 289, Dharwad 255, Udupi 251, Davangere 233, Kalaburagi 180, Shimoga 166, Haveri 164, Koppal 158, Mandya 155, Hassan 154, Bagalkot 154, Bengaluru Rural 136, Raichur 136, Uttara Kannada 129, Gadag 124, Vijayapura 131 and Yadagiri 102.
