The Bengaluru-based Private Hospitals and Nursing Homes Association’s (Phana) president Prasanna HM said that the government’s decision will dilute the pure form of medical sciences whether allopathy or Ayurveda.

He added that the medical workers assigned to COVID-19 duty will not go on strike but wear black badges and in-patient treatment, emergency services and dialysis will also be operational during the country-wide strike.
