The list includes 49 candidates, with notable names such as former Deputy Chief Minister Laxman Savadi, who recently joined the Congress after leaving the BJP. G. Manjunath has been selected to run for the Kolar constituency, a move that has sparked speculation about whether former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will also enter the race. Meanwhile, Nayana Jyoti Jawar, the daughter of Motamma, has been given a ticket to contest from the Mudigere constituency.
