The governing bodies of private schools had earlier decided to discontinue online class sessions of students whose parents have not paid their school fees.
However, after receiving assurances from the commissioner V Anbu Kumar they have decided to wait for another 15 days.
“The Commissioner spoke to us on behalf of Minister Suresh Kumar. He said that he would present our issues before the Minister. So we have decided to continue the online classes for all students. In addition, we requested to resolve the issues within 15 days, if not, then the governing bodies of schools will meet again and take an appropriate decision,” said D Shashikumar, General Secretary of the Karnataka Associated Management of Schools (KAMS).
