Kundapura: 5 youth on cycle journey from Kerala to Kashmir

Kundapura: Three young men, one young woman, all between 20 to 25 years of age have decided to cycle from Kerala to Kashmir in one and a half months by traversing 100 kilometres a day.

The team, consisting of Srijat, Sajna, Vijit and Ranjith, reached Kundapur on Friday, the 7th day of their journey.

All are residents of Malappuram in Kerala and have covered approximately 3,000 kilometres of their journey.

They are camping most of their rest time or staying at the houses of friends or their relatives.

Their meals are mostly at roadside hotels and their luggage is a few clothes and water to drink.

The team has estimated that each person would spend upto 15,000 in the entire journey.

The team says that their endeavour is to inspire the youth was their longtime dream to go on a bicycle adventure to Kashmir.

We were excited that our family permitted us for this. So far there has been no concern in the journey. We are confident of reaching the goal comfortably, they add.

“As a young woman, I wish that my action inspires more women to do such things. The presence of these three young men with me reassures me. We are going to reach the target as scheduled,” said Sajna.
