Jiveben, a native of Mora village in Rapar taluka, was advised not to become pregnant at this age, but she was very emotional about having the child.
“We first made her menstrual cycle regular by prescribing oral medicines. Then we widened her uterus which had shrunk owing to age. We fertilised her eggs and created blastocyst and transferred it to the uterus,” Dr. Naresh Bhanushali, a gynaecologist, told TOI.
The doctors performed sonography two weeks following the IVF treatment and were surprised to discover the foetus developing. They kept an eye on the baby’s development. They discovered the child’s heartbeat and determined that it was normal, allowing Jiveben to continue her pregnancy.
