Lecturer on poll duty dies of heart attack in Chamarajanagar

Chamarajanagar: A lecturer, who was on election duty at a polling booth in Chamarajanagar, died of a heart attack on Thursday morning.

The deceased Shantha Murthy, 48, was teaching economics at Hanur government PU college. He had been deputed as a poll officer at polling station no 48 in Chamarajanagar.

On Thursday morning Murthy complained of uneasiness and was rushed to a local hospital where he was declared brought dead by the doctors.

His mortal remains were sent to Hanur in an ambulance.
