BJP candidate Kishor Kumar Puttur, Congress candidate Raju Poojary, SDPI candidate Anwar Sadat, and independent candidate Mohammed Riyaz submitted their nomination papers to the District Electoral Officer and Deputy Commissioner, Mullai Muhilan.
Additionally, independent candidate Dinakar Ullal had already submitted his nomination earlier, making a total of five candidates in the fray. Both Kishore Kumar and Raju Poojary filed two sets of nomination papers each.
During the filing of Kishore Kumar’s nomination, prominent leaders including MP Brijesh Chowta, MLAs Bhagirathi Murulya, Pratap Simha Nayak, Yashpal Suvarna, Satish Kumpala, Kishore Kundapura, and Pramod Madhwaraj were present.

Kishore Kumar Puttur (BJP):
Kishore Kumar Puttur has declared that he has movable assets worth Rs 33.61 lakh, while his wife holds assets worth Rs 46.85 lakh. This includes a Rs 17.87 lakh investment in Parashu Land Films. He owns immovable property, including ancestral land and a house in Puttur, and non-agricultural land in Paduperar, Mangaluru, valued at Rs 1.12 crore. He also owns agricultural land and residential buildings worth Rs 65.40 lakh. Poojary has loans totaling Rs 24.04 lakh from various banks.
