'Let CT Ravi become CM...': Eshwarappa's statement fuels speculation

Chikkamagaluru: The debate over the next Chief Minister of Karnataka has intensified even before the elections are held. Surprisingly, former minister K.S. Eshwarappa has expressed his desire for CT Ravi to become the next Chief Minister.

Addressing a gathering of party workers at Nidaghatta in the Chikkamagaluru assembly segment, Eshwarappa asked the BJP workers to put in efforts so that CT Ravi could win by a huge margin and become the “next Chief Minister of Karnataka.”

A video of the statement is making rounds on social media.

The demand for naming the Chief Minister, which was previously only heard in the Congress party, has now started gaining momentum in the BJP as well. Eshwarappa’s public endorsement of CT Ravi has further fueled the speculation around the Chief Ministerial candidate for the BJP in the upcoming elections.

Only yesterday, C T Ravi had expressed his desire to become the Chief Minister while speaking in Mysuru. With Eshwarappa’s statement, the speculation around C T Ravi’s candidacy has gained more traction.
