Lina was laid to rest with military honors at the MIA premises on Sunday.
Lina rose to fame on January 12, 2020, when she detected the explosives planted at MIA allegedly by Aditya Rao. Explosive detection rounds are carried out by the dog squad every hour at the airport.
In February this year, Lina was diagnosed with kidney related ailment. She died due to complications from the disease in the early hours of Sunday, sources said.

Her CISF handlers say that Lina was the smartest and the most active of the four in the dog squad. Though her official documents name her as ‘Lina’, The CISF personnel fondly called her ‘Dollly’.
In view of her illness, another dog had been added to the airport dog squad division and is being trained in Ranchi.
