Lockdown cannot be lifted until Covid-19 vaccination found: Study

A recent study based on China’s coronavirus flight has warned those countries wanting to lift lockdown restrictions that they should maintain movement control measures until a vaccination for the virus is found.

The study was published in The Lancet medical journal. It used a model based on Covid-19 reproduction data of China, in order to determine the potential effects of relaxing lockdown measures.

The study says that rigid measures during lockdown has helped China in reducing the number of Covid-19 patients.
Social distancing can only help for some time, but when all the economic activities are resumed, the virus is likely to spread once again. Lifting the lockdown can only be effective if a proper cure is implemented.

However, Sources claim that there are over 40 research teams developing a vaccine for Covid-19. But a few experts claim that a safe vaccination for Covid-19 can take years to be developed.
