Lockdown effect: Photo claiming Mt. Everest visible from Bihar goes viral

After many decades, the residents of a village in Bihar witnessed the beauty of Earth’s tallest mountain, Mount Everest from their houses. Thanks to the minimal activities in different states owing to the COVID-19 lockdown.

The air pollution in the last 40 days have been decreased significantly and the air quality has been improved.

Indian Forest Service officer Parveen Kaswan took to twitter and shared an image of Mount Everest and wrote that Singhwahini village residents were able to see the Mountains.

Prior to Parveen, Mukhiya of Singhwahini Gram Panchayat Ritu Jaiswal had shared this photo and wrote, “We can see the Everest from our terrace today in Singhwahini Village. Nature is balancing itself” in Hindi.
