Lorry mows down a woman crossing the road

Brahmavar: A woman died on the spot after a lorry hit her while she was crossing the road at Brahmavar Junction on Saturday, September 22^nd. The deceased has been identified as Geetha (36). Originally from Hiriadka, now staying at Hangarkatte since her marriage.

According to the available details, Geetha was going to a clinic with her husband Subramanya and child. While crossing the road, Subramanya was carrying the child and Geetha was following them. Subramanya reached the other side of the road, with the child. Geetha was still crossing the road when the lorry hit her and she lost her life on the spot.

It’s being said that apparently a bus entered the highway suddenly breaking the traffic rule. This confused the lorry driver and he hit the road divider first and then Geetha, leading to her demise. A case in this regard has been registered with Brahmavar police.
