Voting was held at 246 polling booths spread across a total of 65 villages in Kundapur and Byndoor. There are a total 2,26,587 voter here, of which 75.30% cast their franchise.
VVPAT error
VVPAT error occurred 4 times at Varahi polling booth and the voting was delayed by 2 hours at Jansale for a similar reason. Siddapura, Hemmadi and Vandse faced problems. Voting started with delay at Khambadakone, Aluru, Guddeyangaddi, Eru Kone, Hosuru and Kadali Hosuru.

Bijur: Voting boycott!
Urging for the resolution of the drinking water problem, the residents of Bijur village boycott voting. After much persuasion from the officials, 614 of the 904 voters cast their votes.
Kasaragod records good voting
Kasaragod: 79.02% of voting was recorded in Kasaragod Lok Sabha constituency. During the 2014 elections, the constituency has achieved 78.49% of voting.
Other than EVM problem and a few untoward incidents at a few places, the voting was mostly conducted peacefully.
There is an allegation that CPI (M) workers did not allow the booth agents of UDF to sit at the191 and 192 booths at Udama which is a stronghold of CPI (M).
Esha Kishore, who is the only transgender to be listed in the voters’ list cast her franchise at the polling booth at Kanhangad Durga Higher Secondary school.
