Madhugiri: PWD employee found dead, suicide suspected

Madhugiri: A state government employee working in the city was found dead at a lodge. The death is suspected to be a suicide.

Lakshminarasaiah, who was working as the manager of the Public Works Department in Madhugiri town, was found hanging at a tourist lodge in Shivagange in Bengaluru Rural district. The exact reason for the extreme step was not immediately known.

Lakshminarasaiah, a native of Sorekunte in Shira Taluk, had been working in the PWD department of Madhugiri as a manager of the Madhugiri Public Works Office for several years.

According to sources, he had recently lost SR Books belonging to two department colleagues while traveling in an auto and had been frantically searching for them. This is suspected to be the motive behind the suicide.

Dabaspete police have taken up the investigation.
