Mahindra launches Thar 700 at Rs.9.99 lakhs

Mahindra has launched a new limited edition of its iconic Thar off-road SUV. The Special Edition Thar has been christened as Thar 700. It is the final edition of the current generation model as the next-gen Mahindra Thar is likely to be launched next year. Mahindra offers only 700 units of the Thar 700 at a price of Rs.9.99 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The new feature-loaded Thar 700 gets both internal and external cosmetic upgrades. It features stylish 5-spoke alloy wheels, bumper with silver finish and the grille, side decals and bonnet with a black finish. The Thar 700 also gets a standard ABS (Anti-locking Braking System), new leatherette seat covers and a special badge on the right fender featuring the signature of Anand Mahindra, Chairman – Mahindra Group.

Powering the Mahindra Thar 700 Signature Edition is a 2.5-litre CRDe engine that makes a power of 105bhp and 247Nm of peak torque. The engine is a four-cylinder turbocharged unit which comes paired with a 5-speed Manual gearbox. The Thar 700 is available only in two colour shades viz., Aqua Marine and Napoli Black.
