Man arrested for placing camera in bathroom of ladies hostel

Jewargi: Police have arrested a man accused of installing a Wi-Fi CC camera in the bathroom window of a ladies’ hostel for the minority community in Jewargi.

The accused identified as Salim Ali Hussain Basha, originally hails from Mandewala village and has been residing in a building located next to the dormitory.

Salim had used a pipe to install the Wi-Fi CC camera to the bathroom window. The camera was linked to his mobile phone.

Fortunately, a few of the female students noticed the camera and brought it to the attention of the hostel supervisor.

Locals nabbed Salim, thrashed him, and later handed him over to the police.
