Man held for attempted rape on class 5 student

Kadaba: Kadaba police arrested a man for allegedly attempting to rape a class 5 girl student at Dolpaddy in Kadaba taluk.

The arrested has been identified as Shivaram

The incident took place on December 14 when the victim was on her way home after attending school. Shivaram is said to have forcibly pulled her into the nearby bushes and attempted to rape her. When the victim shouted for help, Shivaram tried to kill her but upon seeing a group of students approaching the accused fled the scene.

A complaint in this regard was lodged by the victim at Kadaba police station.
