Man kills a woman and commits suicide for a trivial reason

Kodagu: A terrifying incident of a man shooting down and killing a woman and shooting himself dead occurred at Kaluru near Madikeri.

The deceased have been identified as Lalita aka Kondamma (42) of Kaluru and Dharmaraya aka Kashi (45) of Kullodonda. Lalita is survived by two of her children while Dharmaraya is survived by his wife, two daughters and a son.

There was discord between Dharmaraya and Lalita. On Friday afternoon, after Dharmaraya’s wife left for shopping at the weekly market, he armed himself with a gun and went over to Lalita’s hose. He had an argument there which escalated and he ended up shooting her and killing her on the spot. He later turned the gun on himself and died due to the injuries sustained at Madikeri hospital.
