‘Mane Manege Gange’ project to be fully implemented in 3 years says Eshwarappa

Bantwal: Minister for Rural Development KS Eshwarappa said that the Karnataka government has set a target of three years to fully implement the central government’s Jaljeevan programme in the State.

Under the programme, to be called ‘Mane Manege Gange’ in Karnataka, tap water will be supplied to every household in the State.

Speaking after inaugurating the Sarapady Multi-village Drinking Water Project at BC Road here on Sunday, Eshwarappa said that presently 2 projects have been inaugurated at Bantwal for villages here, new projects will be implemented at a cost Rs 60 crore at Bantwal and Rs 140 crore at Mangaluru North soon after approval from the Cabinet.

“We have noticed that former minister B Ramanath Rai is disturbing the development works in Bantwal. Siddaramaiah and Rai are sleepy people and whenever they wake up they create a disturbance. People have defeated you and in the next election you will even lose your deposit,” he said.

The Minister-in-charge of the district, Kota Srinivasa Poojary, also spoke on the occasion and appreciated Rajesh Naik’s ‘Rajdharma.’
