Mangalore University professor to get state award

• Sir C V Raman Young Scientist State Award for 2017

Mangaluru: Karunakara Naregundi, professor and coordinator, Centre for Advanced Research in Environmental Radioactivity, Mangalore University has been chosen by the Karnataka State Council for Science and Technology, for the Sir C V Raman Young Scientist State Award for 2017.

The award instituted by the state government will be presented by Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy at a function at the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru on August 6^th.

Scientist C.N.R. Rao has been selected on the consideration of his contribution in the fields of physical sciences and mathematics and he will present on the occasion.
