OCI arrested for selling ganja
In the first instance, an Overseas Citizen of India was apprehended for allegedly selling ganja. The accused, Neil Kishorilal Ramaji Shah (38), allegedly sold ganja to students and the public from his residence in the Bunts Hostel area in the city.
CCB Police under the supervision of Mangaluru CCB Inspector Shyam Sundar H M raided the flat where the accused was staying and recovered 2kg ganja worth Rs 50,000, a mobile phone, and a weighing machine used for the crime. He allegedly procured the contraband from Vishakhapatnam, police said, adding that a case has been registered at the Kadri police station in this regard.

CCB police arrested Nawaz alias Navva alias Mudipu Nawaz for peddling MDMA. Police said that 15 grams of MDMA, 2 mobile phones, a digital weighing scale, cash worth Rs. 3200/- and a Bajaj Avenger bike used for transportation were seized from his possession.
Nawaz peddled drugs in the Karnataka-Kerala border areas. He has about 11 cases pending against him including physical assault, attempt to murder, dacoity, etc at Konaje, Mulki, and Surathkal police stations, police said.
A case has been registered at the Konaje police station, police said.
One arrested for transporting Ganja
CCB police said they arrested Kiran Raj Shetty 924) of Kasaragod while transporting ganja from Vishakhapatnam in a car. The car was intercepted near Neermarga, Kuttikala. Police said they recovered 27 kg of ganja, a mobile phone, cash, and Maruti Alto car worth about Rs 9 lakhs.
