Mangaluru: Drunk driver rams into roadside shop, parked vehicles

Mangaluru: In yet another drink and drive case that took place near Padavinangady here a car driver, reportedly under the influence of alcohol rammed into the compound wall of a roadside shop and went on to hit a two-wheeler and a car that were parked outside the shop on late Wednesday, December 9 night.

Both the vehicles were crushed due to the impact of the collision.

Locals who witnessed the accident informed the police who then arrived at the spot and carried on an investigation.

Meanwhile, it is said that the driver apologized for drinking and driving after which he was let off by the police. Locals expressed their disappointment towards the police inaction in the matter.
