Speaking at a Press Conference on Tuesday, regional co-secretary of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Krishna Murthy said, “A campaign will be held by Vishwa Hindu Parishad under Shri Rama Janmabhoomi Teertha Kshetra trust for the construction of Ram Mandir at Ayodhya from Jan 15 to Feb 5″
Regional secretary of Vishwa Hindu Parishad Sharan Pumpwell said, “We have formed a team at 4,000 booths, each booth carries 25 members. They will visit every house to collect funds for the temple. Coupons of Rs 10, Rs 100 and Rs 1,000 have been printed. Also, Receipts will be given to those who wish to donate Rs 2,000 or more”
“The 20 days campaign will be held at Kodagu, Kasaragod, Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts. Our aim is to collect up to Rs 25 crore through this campaign in Mangaluru. Also, there will be no irregularities in collecting funds as the receipts are being printed by the central government and apart from Vishwa Hindu Parishad no other organisations will be collecting funds. The fund money will be deposited to bank accounts at Bank of Baroda, State Bank of India and Punjab National Bank,” he added
